Launched in 2002, Voices founder and artistic director is West End professional performer and Estill Master Trainer, Ann Leberman. Ann is one of a handful of practitioners qualified to teach this ground breaking model of voice production in the UK and has worked on numerous Estill courses in London. Ann was also very privileged to travel to Nairobi in 2017 as part of the team delivering the first 5 day Estill course in Africa
Born and trained in South Africa, Ann's professional performing theatre credits in South Africa include Archie and Mehitabel, Joseph, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Kismet & I'm getting my act together and taking it on the road - which is exactly what she did...
After a year with the Bat Dor Dance Company in Israel, Ann arrived in London in 1983. West End roles followed as: "Jenny Lind" in Barnum, "Jellylorum" in Cats, "Violet Liuzzu" in King, "Charity Barnum" in Barnum, "Ellen Terry" in The Actor's Nightmare, "Philia" in A funny thing happened on the way to the forum.
Additional professional touring credits include "Maggie" in a Chorus Line, "Joanna" in Godspell, "Young Emily" in Follies, "Ethel" in Seesaw, "Consuela" in West Side Story, "Mary Magdalene" in the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, "Reuben's wife" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's revival of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. As a session singer and voice-over artist, Ann's voice can be heard on numerous album recordings and voice overs. As a solo artist, her debut album "Shades of Reflection" is released on Guild Record's Zah Zah label with live concert performances at Covent Garden's Centre Stage, London's Grosvenor House Hotel, the Conway Hall, "Proms in the park" at Crystal Palace & "The Sound of Musicals".
In addition to private vocal practices in both London and Essex, Ann is on the audition panel at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London where she is also a technical singing tutor on the BA undergraduate musical theatre course.
